| Well Aakashq, You should go for the real facts rather than just writing sentences... Let me tell some points here. The real achievements of UPA are these :- a) Pressuring pakistan from all ends b) Mission Moon c) GDP growth rate and foriegn exchange (helped by global market) d) A stable government for 5 years, although they required Samajvadi party support in betwen. e) Image of a secular party f) Not interferring Srilankan army in thier operation against LTTE. g) The Best and biggest which you missed out was Indo-US nuke deal. But but but... lets make some points clear..... 1) Do your really understand what inflation really means? When inflation was rising , prices just rocketed in parallel (when inflation was 12-13%), now when its almost zero , does that really brought any significant change in the prices of basic commodities , Just verify this and check the price difference so that you can get the feeling How much common man really benefited ? Answer is NO.Price are still there where it reached 6 mnoths back although inflation is down to zeo. 2) 70-80 % of national highway projects from last 10 years where implemented during the NDA regime, The Golden Quadrilateral scheme of connecting Metro cities was started by NDA , a full concrete road but as soon as NDA was removed in 2004 , the concrete road was converted into Coal-tar roads, great thing !!!!!! money used was afterwards was the same. Even many of National highway schemes are been dumped already , the latest CAG reports shows this.CAG is report card of a government , how it is performing and where the tax payers money is gone.Almost all National highway scheme were initiated where initiated by NDA and UPA is just riding on those.Log on CAG website for more centralised info on this. 3) The employment garuantee scheme was a wonderful initiative and was really remarkable but the implementation of thought was never good. The scheme was good but the money allotted for this particular scheme was misused, Government of india doesnt even know about a single rupee that is it been spent correctly or not. Thats where corruption is the highest. Let me tell you another fact here. i was really happy to see this initiatives by this government , The money was deposited by government in NREGA bank account and money was taken out in 3 installments where no bodies know who took out that money . That looks strange but thats true and there is no tracking of money , no monitoring, simply throwing the money in hands of dacoits.The amount was around 1500 crores . How many metro rail projects , i think you missed to mention here , Do you know in how many cities metro is currently operating. The number is 6, How many metro projects are congress initiated projects , thats the point to note, Offcourse delhi is developing at a nice pace but Delhi....... where most of the development is going on is still not equipped to handle common wealth games , the parliamentry report given by the committe which was appointed by UPA itself submitted a report on this two months back, as far as transporation and residential facilties are concerned nothing has been done yet,many of the flyover projects are still waiting for approvals , the grounds where the matches have to be held are still in construction phase except those which are already in use. Bad guest can easliy becoming bad host too if the tortoise walk is not converted into rabbits runway. Just look at the Sensex and let me know if you can see any real state company in GREEN, when economy was booming everybody earned but when the global market across world gone down , real estate market also collapsed . And till now no attempt been made by the government to help real estate market traders.If i missed any such announcement , let me know.i will apreciate. So point here is , you love congress is a different issue but dont love them blindly , this is not ashiq or mehbooba ka pyar where love is blind , Here you should really go on the facts and not just words. Do you know what was the tax structure at the time of NDA or before , all the extra allowance given to the employee of a company were never counted under tax because that was something which Company wants thier employee to feel happy about , all public sector employees got a payment hike during UPA , where government ensured that everybody goes above the 3 lakh mark so that more and more tax can be taken from everybody.The bonus , medical facilties , even life insurance maturity money also comes under tax now. After taking so much tax , do you still think that the life we are getting to live is worth ? Look at the unicef reports which suggest the malnutrition in india is increased drastically over four years. India also advanced in the corrupt countries level. What has been done for such issues. The rail budget and finance budget was all gimic , where a lot has been said on paper but a very little was implemented. So do not let these politicians to Divide us and rule, But its our turn now that divide the politicians from their parties and then think how this individual can benefit us and our country.Most important is to vote a person and not a party.
