The Vedic concept
of Saraswati was three-fold:
First,
she is like the sacred river
which gave birth to the Aryan civilisation.
Second,
she was vak or speech personified,
as expressed in the Rig Veda's Vak Sukta .
'Speech'
basically refers to the sacred-word or the Vedas themselves.
The third
and most important
aspect is Saraswati's identification with Gayatri,
although the Gayatri mantra
is worship of the Sun-god, Suryanarayana.
The Sun-god symbolises three female deities:
Gayatri, Savitri and Saraswati,
to be invoked in the morning, noon and evening respectively.
AUM BHOOR BHUWAH SWAHA,
TAT SAVITUR VARENYAM
BHARGO DEVASAYA DHEEMAHI
DHIYO YO NAHA PRACHODAYAT.
Summary of the Gayatri Mantra
(the mother of the vedas),
the foremost mantra in hinduism
and We hindu beliefs, inspires wisdom.
Its meaning is that
"May the Almighty God illuminate
our intellect to lead us along the righteous path".
The mantra is also a prayer to the
"giver of light and life" - the sun (savitur).
Oh God! Thou art the Giver of Life,
Remover of pain and sorrow,
The Bestower of happiness,
Oh! Creator of the Universe,
May we receive thy supreme sin-destroying light,
May Thou guide our intellect in the right direction.

Education plays an important role in the progress of
an individual's mind and country.
Ignorance and poverty are major speed-breakers
in the swift developing country
and can be overcome easily through education.
You can't call yourself educated
if you can read and write,
get full marks in every subject.
A person
who is educated has a certain aura around him,
of dignity and wisdom.
If you are educated, you don't need to abide
by the facts that the book recites,
or follow philosophy.
An educated person
builds on the facts
the book says and has his own philosophy.
If you are educated,
you can't have a wrong philosophy.
Education is everything.
People are made aware of
what is going on in the wide world and
can understand these issues and take necessary measures.
If people are educated,
it is not difficult to find a job- keeping in mind
the fact that no job is low.
Education tames the astray mind,
nurturing its capabilities the same way training builds a clever dog.
Do you think
any country will ever look back
if the people are fully educated, have some income
to support their family, are aware of the happening in the world,
and contribute to the country's development?
