Dear All,
I have been silent member and have been going through this debate of Islam propagating Terrorism and was forced to react after reading the following quotes
  •  "in last 3 decades most of the terror attacks have been carried out by Muslims (eg 9/11 and recent 26/11 attacks)" &
  • "Quran propogates terrorism and Islam terrorism in it's many passages."
  • Making an allegation that Holy Quran is not a divine relevation.
Now without offending anyone I would just like to say the following
  • An arabic name does not mean a person is Muslim. To be a Muslim one has to follow all the provisions of Islam which also Include "Living in Peace with other", allowing other to practice their religion as per their customs and ritual. (All this is Stated in Holy Quran).
  • Yes Holy Quran does call for war but only as the last resort ie when all the other measures fail and war is the only way out to defend yourself. Again war must always be fought in a defensive mode and not in offensive mode. There have been numerous passages in Quran where it call for peaceful co-existance with others irrespective of their religion, cast, creed or color. But no one will mention that because it's a more of a war against Islam rather than Terrorism.
  • Violence has been condemned in the strictest sense in Holy Quran but again no one will mention that.
One must make a through study about a religion and its texts before making a comment about it. To know any religion in it's pure form one must study the character of its founder/avatars/etc. That is to understand Hinduism one must refer to the character of "Rama" and not  'Ravana" who claims to be hindu but did nothing worhty of being called a Hindu.
To understand Christianity one must refer to the life of "Jesus" who gave his life for humanity.
Therefore to understand Islam refer to the life of our "Prophet" and not some Osama Bin Laden.

Lastly we can go on and on, on criticizing and finding differences between us and other. What we need is to bring out similarities within disparities only that will help us understand each other,
I hope this will clearify the misconceptions about any religion and will help people to understand things in a better and harmonial way.

Regards,
Haider Ali

Dear sriram dolly and all

The representation by dolly is truly excelelnt and modest too !!

Specific part of Muslims is fanatic and behind the terror is fact and it has nothing to do with Isalm Religion is equally true.

The insurgent elements are so dominating that they target/kill
even muslims who do not support or follow them. As per news
in SWAT valley innocent are killed btutally ......by whom ?

Also the history has limited relevance here because now we
have science age.....global views and careers and opportunities
to earn and learn. Thise who withdraw have to loose only.

In Islamic world scholars and learned people are isolated as
those who run different kind of nop 2 businesses have again
nothing to do with Isalm but they Gominate and use terror to
calm down.

I only see a remedy that all Muslims ashould separate such
Nasur from thei community and punish them as per their laws.
Otherwise we shall see wars and wars ..........all over

Execellent information. ..

Here, I would like to add that, the majority of the terrorist acts of the last three decades, including the 9/11 attacks, were perpetrated by Islamic fundamentalists in the name of Islam. Any decent Muslims human, find it abhorrent that Islam is used to murder millions of innocent people, Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

Unfortunately, Islamic religious texts, including the Koran and the Hadith contain many passages, which call for Islamic domination and incite violence against non-Muslims. It is time to change that. Muslim fundamentalists believe that the Koran is the literal word of Allah.
But
could Allah, the most Merciful, the most Compassionate, command mass slaughter of people whose only fault is being non-Muslim?

Islam, in its present form, is not compatible with principles of freedom and democracy. Twenty-first century Muslims have two options:

Muslims can continue the barbaric policies of the seventh century perpetuated by Hassan al-Banna, Abdullah Azzam, Yassir Arafat, Ruhollah Khomeini, Osama bin Laden, Muslim Brotherhood, al-Qaeda, Hizballah, Hamas, Hizb-ut-Tahrir, etc., leading to a global war between Dar al-Islam (Islamic World) and Dar al-Harb (non-Islamic World),
or
You can reform Islam to keep your rich cultural heritage and to cleanse our religion from the reviled relics of the past. Any, Muslims who desire to live in harmony with people of other religions, agnostics, and atheists choose the latter option. They can no longer allow Islamic extremists to use Islam  religion as a weapon. Todays Muslims must protect future generations of Muslims from being brainwashed by the Islamic radicals. If you do not stop the spread of Islamic fundamentalism, your children will become homicidal zombies.

Why blame Islam?

Individuals, not religions, carry out inhuman acts.
