{M:H:O} Actress Brittany Murphy has died

Actress Brittany Murphy, who starred in such films as "Just Married" and "Uptown Girls" but saw her fortunes fade in recent years, died Sunday after going into cardiac arrest, the Los Angeles Times reported. She was 32. The paper said the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to "a medical request" at Murphy's home in West Hollywood, and took her to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center near Beverly Hills, where she was pronounced dead. The death was first reported by online gossip site TMZ, which added Murphy was found unconscious in the shower in her LA home by her mother. TMZ says the LA coroner will begin an investigation into Murphy's death today. Murphy has been married to screen writer Simon Monjack since 2007 and has no children.
