Everlasting Fashion Icon : Princess Diana

In the history of modern fashion, may be no other woman can claim to have had more impact on fashion trends than late Lady Diana, the Princess of Wales. She was a world leader of fashion in clothes, accessories, make up and hair - a trendsetter hounded by the press for her latest look. Fondly called the "People's Princess", she is remembered not only as a humanitarian but was also the most influential style icon of her time who combined equal amounts of charm, physical beauty and designer clothing to create a persona that was photographed and broadcast millions of times the world over. More than a decade has passed since she has left this world, but the world still remember the compassionate Princess as an evergreen fashion icon!

Before her marriage Lady Diana Spencer dressed in a simple manner. She liked to wear high necked frilly ruffled blouses, pearls and simple floral skirts. Once engaged, she began to wear more glamorous clothes. Soon, she started developing her own style. She wore what she wanted which others followed. The big, poofy wedding dress she wore was a testimony to that fact.   Being a Princess, Lady Di was always on the limelight. Diplomatic meetings, charity events...it was essential for her to present herself in an elegant manner. It is said that the royal family hired tutors from Vogue to teach Diana fashion sense. Diana took what she wanted from the "fashion lessons" and did her own thing, quickly becoming a trendsetter of the 80s.   After her marriage, the Princess soon became involved in the official duties of the Royal Family and she always made headlines during her overseas visits. Diana was spotted wearing a Kimono during her first visit to Japan. As always, she looked charming and elegant in her polka dot Kimono.    Diana became very conscious of physical fitness in her later years, carefully following an exercise regimen. Her toned figure was the foundation of her streamlined fashion styles. In this pic, she is spotted leaving the gym after her morning exercise. Be it designer wear or simple tee, Diana always looked great!   It was a feast for the paparazzis whenever Diana was celebrating vacation with her children. The princess in her bikini was like a great haul for the photographers. With her athletic body and tanned skin, the princess looked stunning in her swimsuits!   Princess Diana was most photographed in her beautiful evening wear. Early choices were puffy and romantic.
