સાંજ જ્યારે સાંજ સ્થાપી જાય છે,
કોઈ ત્યારે યાદ આવી જાય છે.

રાત ઢળતા એક પડછાયો મળે,
એ પછી ચોમેર વ્યાપી જાય છે.

છૂંદણાંમાં કોણ પીડા આપતું,
એ વિચારે દર્દ ભાગી જાય છે.

છાંટણાં વરસાદના સ્પર્શી જતા,
રોમ સૌ ધરતીના જાગી જાય છે.

હું અહર્નિશ યાદનું છું તાપણું,
કોઈ આવી રોજ તાપી જાય છે.

રોજ હું વાવી રહી સંબંધને,
રોજ આવી કોણ કાપી જાય છે .

બહુ દૂરથી કોઈ મને સાદ કરે છે,
તારી જ યાદો મને યાદ કરે છે.

મંદ વહેતો પવન તારી વાત કરે છે,

વધતા ધબકારો તારો જ ભાસ કરે છે,
તારો આભાસ પણ મને ખાસ કરે છે.

નીંદરમાં પણ તું મને પરેશાન કરે છે,
મીઠીં ફૂકો મારી મને સતાવ્યા કરે છે.

રાત્રીના અંધકારને પણ વધુ રંગીન કરે છે,

જેની ઉષા હસે હેલાતી, તેનાં તેજ પ્રફુલ્લ પ્રભાત;
જ્યાં જ્યાં વસે એક ગુજરાતી, ત્યાં ત્યાં સદાકાળ ગુજરાત
