{M-H-O} Sena - Clean Bowled by Asha Bhosle

Playback singer Asha Bhonsle believes that Mumbai belongs to all. And when she said this, Maharashtra Navanirman Sena (MNS) Raj Thackeray was listening from the audience.

"Mumbai belongs to all of India," said Bhonsle at a cultural programme organised by a Marathi TV channel on Sunday evening in Pune.

"No one can snatch the job of a man who works here (in Mumbai) from morning to evening. Our people (Maharashtrians) should also show the readiness to work hard," she said when the programme host and interviewer Sudhir Gadgi, asked her whether Mumbai was turning ugly because of people coming in.

Thackeray did not to react and was later seen chatting with the singer.

"People are bound to flock to Mumbai as Hindustan belongs to all. Those who work hard here become prosperous. I also worked in my field with determination to earn success. I have sung in all Indian languages but I am a proud Maharashtrian," she said.

Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday refrained from reacting to legendary singer Asha Bhosale's remarks that 'India belongs to all Indians.'

She had made the remarks in Pune on Sunday. "Those present at the function should have reacted," Thackeray told reporters when asked for his reaction without naming his estranged cousin and MNS president Raj Thackeray.

The MNS chief was among the guests at the function. Earlier, Shiv Sena had criticised master blaster Sachin Tendulkar and industrialist Mukesh Ambani for their "Mumbai for all" comments.
