The women can have many cravings like craving for alcohol and beer.
There is not much written literature to prove that Beer and alcohol is good or bad for the pregnant woman or the fetus, it is generally not advised to have abstinence from Alcoholic cravings.
Excessive alcohol can lead to retardation of mental growth of the developing fetus and can be seen in behavioral or cognitive defects in the child.
The excessive effects of Alcohol can also lead to highly damaging effects termed under Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.
But according to a research study team at The University College, London said that the risk remains lower when the drinking is less than one to two units of Alcohol.
Alcohol effect can be easily seen on Fetus due to easy diffusion of Alcohol through the phospholipid layer of the cell wall of most of the human body cells.
Alcohol also induces a pseudo condition that the Body doesn't feel "hungry". Alcohol provides only calories and no nutrition and thus another deteriorating factor for the fetal growth.
