Check Your DVD Player If It Have an HDMI Socket at rear if u are confused Check the Manual.
If your System is Old like an Year I think It will not have that only if it is an HOME THEATER STUFF
These Days You will Find BLUE RAY Players Bit Expensive But If u are Movie Lover You can Enjoy the Gr8 Quality of Picture again Your LCD Should Support HD Or Full HD.
Suggestion If u already have an Old DVD Player i mean Home THEATER then you Go for SONY PLAY STATION 3 with this you can play all HD movies which is Again FULL HD. with this You play Games too on HIGH QUALITY believe me You will JUST LOVE IT. Sony Play Station Have an BLUE RAY DISC even X-BOX do not have these.
Finally make Sure u have an FULL HD LCD for an Complete ENTERTAINMENT :-)
